A British multimedia artist based in the United Arab Emirates. Holding a Master of Fine Arts from Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London. Through an international career living and working in the United Kingdom, Australia, Brazil, and the Arab Emirates he has developed a rich, multidisciplinary artistic practice.

Murphy’s current work is rooted in his extensive travels throughout the Arab world, where he documents architectural heritage, regional landscapes, and everyday street scenes through direct sketchbook study. His studio output translates these observational field studies into multi-disciplinary works encompassing printmaking: digital, linocut, and silkscreen; textile embroidery; and installations. By combining traditional printmaking techniques with regional decorative fabrics and material traditions inspired by Islamic textile art, his work bridges Western fine art frameworks with Middle Eastern visual culture.
